1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Zynicon (“Company”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”) collects, uses, processes, and protects user data when you use:

  • Our Meta-connected application “Zynicon”

  • Our Instagram automation features

Zynicon integrates with the Instagram Graph API provided by Meta to automate comment replies, direct messaging, and engagement workflows for Instagram business and creator accounts.

By using our services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.


2. Information We Collect

A. Account Information

When you connect your Instagram account through Meta OAuth, we may collect:

  • Instagram User ID

  • Username

  • Profile name

  • Profile picture

  • Account type (Business/Creator)

  • Access tokens (securely stored)


B. Instagram Data Accessed (Meta Permissions)

When authorized by you, Zynicon may access:

  • Public profile information

  • Media metadata (posts, captions, comments count)

  • Comments on your posts

  • Direct Messages (DMs)

  • Message sender username and message content

  • Comment content on posts

  • Message conversation IDs

We access this data only to provide the following features:

  • Automated comment replies

  • Sending product links via Direct Message

  • Auto follow-up messages

  • Responding to user queries through DM automation

  • Managing conversations from a centralized dashboard

We do not access private messages unrelated to automated workflows.


3. How We Use Instagram Data

Instagram data is used strictly to:

  • Detect comments containing trigger keywords

  • Send automated replies to comments

  • Send product links via Instagram Direct Messages

  • Respond to user messages

  • Track engagement metrics

  • Improve automation accuracy

We do NOT:

  • Sell Instagram user data

  • Use Instagram messages for advertising profiling

  • Share Instagram message content with third parties

  • Store message data longer than necessary

Our use of Instagram data complies with Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.


4. Data Storage & Retention

  • Access tokens are stored securely using encryption.

  • Message content is stored only if required for automation logs.

  • Message logs are retained only as long as necessary to provide services.

  • When a user disconnects Instagram, all associated tokens and linked data are deleted.

Retention period:

  • Active accounts: retained while service is active

  • Disconnected accounts: deleted within 30 days


5. Data Sharing

We may share data only with:

  • Secure cloud hosting providers

  • Database storage providers

  • Analytics tools for service improvement

All service providers are contractually obligated to protect data.

We do not sell or rent personal information.


6. Data Deletion Instructions (Meta Platform Requirement)

Zynicon provides users with clear mechanisms to request deletion of their personal data and Instagram-connected data.

You may request deletion using any of the following methods:

A. Remove App Access (Self-Service Method)

You may disconnect Zynicon directly from your account:

  1. Log in to your Facebook account.

  2. Navigate to Settings & Privacy → Settings.

  3. Click Business Integrations.

  4. Select Zynicon.

  5. Click Remove.

Once removed:

  • Access tokens are invalidated immediately.

  • Automation features stop instantly.

  • No further Instagram data is accessed.

All associated data stored by Zynicon will be permanently deleted within 30 days of disconnection.


B. Submit a Manual Deletion Request

You may also request deletion by:

Please include your Instagram username and the email associated with your account for verification purposes.


C. What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon verified request, we will permanently delete:

  • Instagram User ID

  • Username and profile metadata

  • Stored access tokens

  • Comment automation logs

  • Direct message automation logs

  • Account configuration data

Deletion requests are processed within 7–14 business days.

Zynicon does not control or delete data stored directly by Instagram or Meta. To delete your Instagram account entirely, please use Instagram’s account deletion process.


7. Security Measures

We implement:

  • HTTPS encryption

  • Secure API token storage

  • Restricted database access

  • Role-based access controls

  • Server-level protection

While we apply industry-standard security measures, no system is completely secure.


8. Children’s Privacy

Zynicon is not intended for individuals under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.


9. Compliance with Platform Policies

Zynicon complies with:

  • Meta Platform Terms

  • Instagram Graph API Policies

  • Google API Services User Data Policy (if applicable)

Data obtained from Meta is used solely to provide and improve our services.


10. International Processing

Data may be processed in India or in jurisdictions where our infrastructure providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The updated version will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date.
